Oh the breaches of dignity ! O the drama and trauma ! Here’s to those of us who find Shakespeare funny and wish we didn’t need to condense everything into a 2 minute soundbite ! I’m not sure if this is the place to self-promote but I am dearly happy and blessed to have met Samara in Malibu last fall and am very grateful to her example of HOW TO SHOW UP. i come from a household where self-expression was not expressed, so I feel like I’m about 8 years old here. My name is elisabeth howland, I am also a writer here on Substack @vidabierta and the current founder and CEO of ASSAYA, a holistic health center down here in Baja California Sur. #1 reason why Assaya needs to exist in the world for ALL OF US is because TRUE HEALTH IS THE #1 CONTRIBUTING FACTOR TO HAPPINESS. Besitos <3<3<3

I happen to have a lot of experience with 8 year olds 🤣🤣 I’m so glad you’re here, my love, and ALWAYS avail for Shakespeare references. And YES THIS IS THE PLACE FOR SELF-PROMOTING I DONT KNOW HOW MUCH CLEARER I CAN BE hahahaha. Can’t wait to visit you and your center in Baja ❤️❤️❤️

Hey peeps! I’m Stephanie, originally from NY/DC but have been living in Prague, CZ for the last (almost) 8 years! 🤯 I’m the founder of Speak Up with Stephanie, my public speaking/communication coaching venture for international English-speaking professionals.

The reason SUWS needs to exist in the world is because most business professionals need to be lovingly shown that they don’t need to have “perfect English” or sound like anyone else in order to be enough—but that they’re unique communication style makes them fully enough as is! 🗣️✨

Some days, it’s harder to practice what I preach (😅), which is partially why I’ve recently picked up a corporate consulting job while running SUWS part time. But I like the mischievous “side hustle” energy it’s been giving me, because I love sticking it to the man! 😜

ALL OF THIS! Proud of you -- consulting, teaching, and spreading the actual love around this stuff. I know you know but SO GLAD YOU'RE HERE ❤️❤️

Thank youuuu! I’m so grateful to have found a home here! 🥰💖

Hello hello! What a treat to be here. Samara - thank you for ALL THE PERMISSION.

I'm Louisa Clarke, I live in Penarth, just outside Cardiff in the UK.

I run my own business supporting confrontation-avoidant folk or those who struggle find a voice around the difficult, often crucial conversations to do so in a way that actually feels OK (maybe even GOOD?!) to them.

This work is all about how do we navigate challenge and speak up for ourselves in a way that has heart and desire for connection front and centre, and that is forward-moving and productive.

(Samara - your work is BIG TIME inspo ✨❤️)

I work in businesses, and mainly with middle managers who have all that multi-directional stress. But it's my fellow recovering people-pleasers and confrontation-avoiders wanting to claim their power and put down the weight of it all that properly sets my heart on fire.

Thank you for welcoming me here!

LOUISA! It's so good to meet you and wow wow -- I'm thinking *all the time* about confrontation-avoidance and how folks are missing out on connection, staying lonely, and also creating so much confusion and frustration, because no one has offered them ways to face saying even the tiniest of "no"s. It's a total epidemic. So excited to hear about your work and so glad you're here ❤️

Hello @fredafoster, @vidabierta, @speakupwsteph, @julesdusold, Lady J and the other bright beautiful souls who happen to read this. It’s nice to meet all of you.

I’m Kelly Peters. I’m an existential fashion stylist on a journey of deep personal discovery. I live to share my gift of styling with those who struggle to find the freedom to express themselves. I love to teach people the how to uncover their self worth and practice self love so they can to radiate their awesome and share their unique gifts with the world.

YESSSSSS -- ok, this description tho! KELLY. I see you and am so glad you're claiming your brilliance. And so glad you're here! ❤️ and look at that tagging -- way to bring in the folks!!

Hello! I live in Portland, OR.

Next stop on my journey researching and embodying the math of connection over the last decade heading from a lifetime of hidden violences is to share it! Current real life practice volunteering in a self-governance experiment and parenting an adolescent with presence instead of authority is *lighting me up* 🤩

I’m receiving a message from life that it’s time to get writing again. I’m preparing to relaunch my website, start this Substack, & share my inpertise (cos expertise yields othering and hierarchy and inpertise aligns identity with values) !

Samara Bay's avatar

YES PLEASE. I want to know more about the math of connection -- please please! So glad you're here ❤️

Hi, all. I'm a social entrepreneur in Kansas City bringing the gap between self care and healthcare, with an emphasis on mental health, functional fitness, and the social influences on health.

Right now, I'm launching my giveback fine jewelry line -- it offers customizable pendants that promote emotional growth for truly conscious consumers (find it at @allusio.jewelry or www.allusiojewelry.com).

Thanks for allowing us to practice here, Samara!

*bridging the gap. See, I need the practice!

Haha you say to the gal with the typo in the first line of this post -- it had to happen sometime! SO glad you're here, Julie, and YES to the self-promotion! Though you could lean in even more to not just what it IS but who it helps and how. Your tag line totally works, but isn't particularly personal so if you're going to say it in a conversational context like this I might say after the "conscious consumers" bit something like "so if you like to wear things that feel good on your body cuz you know where they come from and you feel the love packed into them, these are for you" or something... ❤️

HEYYYY friends!! I’m Naomi (she/they) Mendes-Pouget, and I’m a Canadian transplant in coastal Portugal, where my lineage up to my parents are from!!! I love living here! I decided to change and uproot my life in Canada in June and moved here in September of 2022. ~3 months, 1 life-changing decision. Woah. That’s a fun fact about me! I love rapid transformation.

One thing I’m loving these days is connecting with folks as a life and business expansion coach, and inviting them into my big juicy group mastermind & retreat offer. SO FUN!!!!! & also — admittedly a little scary too (all entrepreneurs have fears, or else they’re lying).

If YOU are a feminist founder/CEO and you’re curious about how my work can support you in being richer and freer, Id love to invite you over to http://cuntycoaching.myflodesk.com/hello.

Thank you so much Samara for creating this communal space!!!! I LOVE community and relationship building! ❤️

Hi everyone. I just came across this post today. I'm originally from Montana and now live in Ruokolahti, Finland. My Substack is Poetry By Susannah. I started by writing poetry and reflections on those poems. Now I write a mix of poems, reflections, and blogs. I write about various topics including positive body image, self love and self care, setting boundaries, and deconstructing and healing from high control religion and purity culture teachings.
