I loved the little breakdown of “showing up” vs “speaking up”. I actually had that moment when I was naming my business, fearful that folks would misconstrue the name and think that my business would only help them in moments of crisis or distress, when something was wrong. But I came to the conclusion that only thinking of “speaking up” when something is wrong and needs addressing is limiting. It’s not just about talking while being brave, but about being a full, complete weird human in spaces that historically haven’t called for that level of transparency. Honoring your sense of self despite the hang-ups we have about how we sound.
